About

I'm Jessica, a software engineer based in Seattle, Washington. I value simple and intuitive designs that put the user first. I graduated from University of Washington in 2017 with a degree in Computer Engineering and began working at T-Mobile USA. I'm currently earning a certificate in Full Stack Web Development from the University of Washington.

The following are some of the technologies I've used recently:

  • HTML & CSS
  • Javascript
  • jQuery
  • Node.js
  • Express.js
  • MySQL

And these are some additional languages I am familiar with:

  • Java
  • C++
  • C#
  • Python

When I'm not developing, I'm outside, either hiking or Live Action Roleplaying (LARPing). In regards to the latter, I don't just like to build things with my mind, I like to build them with my hands as well. I flex my creative and problem solving muscles by fashioning experiences, props, and clothing for others to enjoy.

Associate Systems Engineer ~ T-Mobile USA

June 2017 to Present

At T-Mobile, I've gained experience in both development and architecture design. Here are some of my accomplishments:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and testing of automation projects for multiple telecommunications provisioning engines which decrease the minimum time to deployment of database updates.
  • Developed an email notification script in Python that parses customer dump files on select databases, compiles it into a meaningful, human readable format, and sends the information to my teammates, director, and senior director on a daily basis.
  • Developed a web application in Python and the Django web framework that accepts single or multiple phone numbers and returns which databases those customers are located in.
